Best Evidence

We asked, they proved it.
The verdict is in, and Shade's 5 Biggest Fans have proved their case!

Carrie Rucker's letter...

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Shade clothing! A previous "non-internet clothing
buyer"...now a junkie! Shade had reinvented my idea of buying clothes
online. For a sunshine girl in southern california... having the best
of the best stores within miles was never a help. I was always on the
brink of a "What Not To Wear" episode! After being inspired by
"stephmodo's blog, I began to hunt around on her advertisers
links...of course I came to Shade, and knew I had found the store that
was made for me! Quality timeless clothing, that could be worn over
and over, mixed and matched at a really amazing deal! Not only were
the items modest (which I love) they were able to fit many age
ranges...which was great (for this 26 year old I was stuck in between
a juniors store and a, shall I say, "mom-ish" style store...and yes,
I'm a a mom :) ) I will be updating my wardrobe monthly thanks to
shade! Thanks agin!

and P.S. I received a wonderful compliment on your "Ruffle Dress in
Raisin" (paired with a pair of copper color flats)! Thanks for making
me feel pretty...and getting me out of those yoga pants on an everyday
basis!

Betti Jo Hirschi's letter and collage...

Last Sunday I was wearing my new Ruffle Empire Dress (in Basil, which
I LOVE!), and I was thinking about how much I love Shade clothes. My
clothing size is on the larger end (14), but gratefully my proportions
are good so I don't *look* large, but it is really hard for me to find
clothes that fit right and don't make me look huge. So when I find
something that works I become insanely loyal.

A few years ago at my cousin's wedding I was introduced to Shade, and
once I tried the cap sleeve tees I was hooked. In the beginning I was
actually an independent Shade rep for a while too, and I loved
introducing Shade to everyone I knew. In those days Shade was just an
amazing undershirt that made other more immodest shirts wearable. But
I loved the fit, and lower (but not TOO low) neckline, and so I began
wearing shades not just as a layer, but alone. I found that the longer
length wasn't just more modest, but it actually was more slimming than
shorter shirts.

Quickly my entire t-shirt shelf started filling up with Shade cap
sleeves in a variety of colors, replacing all my other t-shirts. Then
came the Shade Basic Black which led to more casual dresses, then onto
fashion tops. All of which I've quickly snatched up. (I own at least
one -- but more like five or six -- items from EVERY one of Shade's
Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter collections). When the shorts came out
this past year, I wanted to cry from joy. I had been dying for a pair
of longer, bermuda shorts, but everything in my size was so wide in
the leg that I looked ridiculous. In the past I've had to wear skirts
if I wanted something cooler than jeans (can I just tell you it is
rough to live in the Phoenix heat with no shorts). My Shade shorts fit
AMAZING! They are cut slimmer and look absolutely fabulous. I own two
pairs each of the cobalt and black twill shorts and one pair of the
watermelon skinny bermudas, gray skinny bermudas, and tab denim
shorts. (I tried to get a second pair of the denim ones but my size
was sold out -- I can't wait till next year!) Every pair of shorts I
own is Shade, so this summer I have quite literally worn Shade every
day.

So back to Sunday, when I was feeling so sassy in my cute new Shade
dress, the thought actually crossed my mind that I must be one of
Shade's biggest fans, which is why I had to laugh when i check my
email on Monday morning and saw this contest. I knew I had to enter,
not so much for the gift card (although that would be nice), but
mainly because I really believe I am Shade's biggest fan.

I had been wracking my brain since then trying to figure out how to
prove it. First I thought about piling up all my shade stuff and then
taking a picture, but I didn't think that was very exciting. My
husband suggested I put on all my Shade clothes at once (like Joey on
Friends) and take a picture. I had to agree that would be pretty
funny, but as I started counting all my Shade stuff I knew that would
be impossible. So I was back to the picture idea, and I DID start
making that pile, but then I realized that I would basically have to
unpack my entire closet, and I just couldn't bring myself to do it
because I really didn't want to have to put it all back away LOL!
Then I thought I could take a picture of my closet, but it's not very
photogenic.

After I had pretty much given up, I suddenly thought, well if I am
truly Shade's biggest fan than I should have hundreds of pictures
ALREADY to prove it. I've been through my recent family photos, and
made a collage of some of my favorite pics, and yes, I'm wearing Shade
in every one of them! I have tons more photos that wouldn't fit on the
page, but I think you get the point: I LOVE SHADE!

Monica Rock's Letter...

Shellie Hoyt's acrostic poem and photo...

I have a problem--I think it's called obsession. I absolutely love Shade Clothing.

I not only wear some piece of Shade most days of the week, I am constantly buying in other sizes for family and friends!

And although some might think this is a guilty pleasure of mine, I don't feel guilty when I buy and wear Shade. I feel comfortable, beautiful, trendy, and most importantly, modest. You see, I have a little girl who watches me everyday, taking in those things I say, do, and wear. And I hope that by choosing to wear modest, beautiful clothing, I can help my young daughter learn how to love and respect her own body.

Here is a tribute I wrote for you all at Shade! :) I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy wearing your beautiful clothing and being a part of the Shade community.
